2000trees organisers are very chuffed this week, and why shouldn’t they be?
First they announced Saturday’s headline act Frank Turner and now The Subways have been confirmed as Saturday’s headline act.
Folk-punk hero Frank Turner has been named for this summer’s 2000trees Friday night headliner.
This summer, discover the very best in new British music as 2000trees Festival returns to Upcote Farm near Cheltenham from Friday 16th to Saturday 17th July for its fourth year running.
As Superman balances a pile of cans in his arms, and stands inspecting the recycling bin stickers, it’s immediately obvious that you’re at a different class of festival.
wristband4festivals interviewed Andy Rea, organiser of this year’s 2000trees festival. The family freindly festival raises awareness of green issues and aims to be an ethical alternative to the more mainstream music events.
This year looks to be a blinder for the festival, with the introduction of the headphone disco (they’re sooo now don’t you know) and appearences from the likes of British Sea Power and The King Blues.

“For us, 2000trees is all about achieving a friendly and intimate festival experience, so for this year’s festival tickets will be strictly limited to 2,500. You’ll get two nights camping under the stars in the stunning Cotswolds, plus three stages featuring over 50 bands and DJs.”

Winner of ‘A Greener Festival Award’ 2000trees have announced the first acts for this years festival.
The festival which sold out last year won the award for raising awareness of green issues and demonstrating its commitment to sustainability by recycling 78 per cent of waste among a host of eco-friendly measures – something more of the bigger festivals should take heed of.
